The E-Learning Department of Blue Ridge Community and Technical College is committed to serving students and faculty by encouraging and supporting the use of e-learning technologies to provide effectively trained faculty and to promote high quality, learner-centered online courses that meet the needs of the diverse student population.

The department strives to:

• Disseminate and endorse best practices and innovative initiatives for distance education that enhance the quality of e-learning activities
• Provide functional and technical support for course development projects and e-learning content production
• Deliver effective training and on-demand assistance to students and faculty for the use of e-learning technologies
• Promote academic integrity by supporting students in locating web-based reference materials and evaluating and citing information sources
