If you’re a high school student interested in taking a course, or if you wish to jump-start your degree, Blue Ridge Community and Technical College offer a variety of courses designed for high school students!. If you wish to take a college course and experience the excitement of a college classroom, Blue Ridge CTC welcomes your enthusiasm. High School Tuition rate is currently $25 per credit hour! Additional Course, book, lab, or online fees may apply. Get a jump start on your college transcript with this affordable option! The next steps are easy.

Effective July 1, 2024: All high school students enrolling must be 19 years old or younger during the semester of enrollment. High school students must reside in the state of West Virginia or one of the qualifying Metro regions to receive the $25 per credit hour rate. Out of state high school students are assessed at the out-of-state rate.
If you have at least a 2.0 GPA, complete an application:
If you are taking an English, Math or Chemistry class, submit SAT or ACT scores or take the required placement exam for admission. If you have not taken either exam, please schedule a Placement Test appointment on campus, as it is required for entry into college-level English and mathematics courses. Schedule a testing appointment.
Obtain current high school transcript.
Submit non-degree application, copy of a government issued ID, H.S. transcript, and test scores, if necessary, to Admissions. NOTE: Home School students must retrieve a letter from the County School Board Office verifying their enrollment.

High School applicants need to complete the Non-Degree application only once per academic year. Students may register for courses within their BRIDGE account for continued registration.
Blue Ridge Community and Technical College and Berkeley County Schools have created several options for High School students to begin the college experience while in High School. With discounted college tuition, along with ease of scheduling, High School students have several options to get the “JumpStart.”

Blue Ridge Community and Technical College and Jefferson County Schools have created a partnership to allow High School students to enroll in College courses while still enrolled in High School. Jefferson County Students may choose from the General Studies JumpStart program or the Jefferson County Scholars Program.
The General Studies JumpStart Program is a dual enrollment option for high school Seniors to begin the college experience while in high school. Students complete 26 credit hours in general studies courses including English, Math, Science and History. To register for JumpStart, visit your School Counselor.
The Jefferson County Scholars Program offers many dual credit enrollment options, allowing students to get a jumpstart on their College education.

Blue Ridge Community and Technical College and Morgan County Schools have created a partnership to allow High School students to enroll in college courses while still enrolled in High School. The Morgan County Scholars Program offers dual credit enrollment options, allowing students to get a jump start on their college education.
