What You Will Learn - Curriculum Overview

With an Instrumentation certificate program, students obtain expert instruction through hands-on laboratories related to the fundamentals of electricity, electronics, fluid power, and programmable logic controllers.

Throughout the program, students learn core concepts of instrumentation technician such as technical mathematics, instrumentation, electricity and electronics, fluid power, safety awareness, systematic troubleshooting and sanitation, and more. Program outcome includes:

    • Identify equipment and tools used in instrumentation.
    • Understand the instrumentation systems operation (pneumatic, electronic, and electrical).
    • Understand standard instrumentation maintenance processes, installation procedures, and calibration practices.
