Martinsburg, WV. Blue Ridge Community and Technical College Board of Governors met at the Main Campus with a virtual option via Zoom on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
The meeting was called to order at 12:04 pm by Chair, Ms. Heather McIntyre.
Ms. McIntyre continued with the approval of the February 2026 meeting minutes.
West Virginia State Senator Jason Barrett provided the Board with a Legislative update.
Dr. Checkovich presented the President’s Report, highlighting recent media articles pertaining to the Institution.
Dr. Ann Shipway, Vice President of Workforce and Engineering Technologies, presented the Workforce Report. Dr. Shipway reviewed upcoming program events occurring as end of term approaches. Dr. Shipway concluded with a review of new grant proposals.
Ms. Laura Busey, Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, announced the 5-year program reviews forthcoming for the next Board meeting.
Ms. Leslie See, Vice President of Enrollment and Allied Health Sciences, presented Rule 17.1: Record Retention Policy, which completed the 30-day comment period. No comments were received. The Board passed a motion to adopt the Rule.
Ms. Leslie See, Vice President of Enrollment and Allied Health Sciences, presented the enrollment report. Ms. See presented the current Spring enrollment picture, noting the unofficial enrollment is up for the term.
Dr. Craig Miller, Chief Financial Officer, and Ms. Kristy Scarlata, Comptroller, presented the Finance report. The Board passed a motion to adopt the Program and Supplemental Fees. The Board passed a motion to adopt the Tuition and Fees as presented. The Board passed a motion to adopt the FY 27 Budget as presented.
No executive session was held.
The meeting adjourned at 1:49 p.m.
