Blue Ridge Community and Technical College proudly recognizes the accomplishments of the HVAC Class of 2025-2026, who successfully completed an intensive three-course program designed to prepare students for careers in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry.
Throughout the program, students gained hands-on experience and technical knowledge through a comprehensive curriculum covering HVAC fundamentals, industry certification, and heating system technologies.
The program included:
HVAC Basic (13 Weeks)
Students studied the fundamentals of HVAC systems, including system components, the refrigeration cycle, refrigerants, and the theory of refrigeration.
EPA 608 Certification (10 Weeks)
Students completed training and earned their EPA 608 Certification, a nationally recognized credential required for technicians who work with refrigerants.
Heating Systems (13 Weeks)
Students learned the service, repair, and installation of heat pumps, mini-split systems, and gas furnaces, developing the practical skills needed to succeed in the field.
Students attended these courses from September 4, 2025 to May 26, 2026. At the end of the program, students received a Certificate of Completion.
