An associate degree in a business profession costs less than a bachelor’s degree and takes about 2 years to complete. Students can enter the workforce early while having an understanding of marketable business skills and high earning potential. Students who want to continue to a 4-year school take advantage of nearly 100 transfer programs to well-known colleges and universities.

Students who are seeking direct workforce entry into business-related positions train in 1-2 years and are qualified for many lucrative career opportunities available in our local economy. Our programs incorporate real-world business skills and content-specific knowledge needed to successfully land the career of your dreams.

This Associate in business degree requires approximately 60 credits, which takes about 24 months to complete when enrolled as a full-time student.

Students can select from three different options:

  • Associate Applied Science in Accounting
  • Associate of Science in Business Administration
  • Associate of Applied Science in Business Operations
Blue Ridge CTC does not require ACT or SAT scores to qualify for admission. Students may need ACT or SAT scores, or free placement testing to qualify for courses such as English, Math, or Chemistry. Placement testing can be scheduled at any time during the application process.
Admission requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a complete application packet. Students who have earned credits at other Colleges or Universities must also provide official copies of those transcripts. There is also a $25 application fee that can be paid at any time once an application is submitted.
Blue Ridge CTC offers two-year, flexible, and affordable degrees that prepare prospective learners for different aspects of business such as accounting, office administration, management, and marketing in different organizations with real-world practical skills and implementation. Each program helps build foundational knowledge to seek entry-level employment or transfer to 4-year institutions.
