After reviewing the Transfer-Articulation list and web resources, the next step is to discuss your plans with a faculty advisor at Blue Ridge CTC and a transfer program representative at the selected institution.
With these steps and guidelines, you are on your way to a successful transfer from Blue Ridge CTC to the four-year institution of your choice.
Best of luck to you!
For additional information, contact your designated advisor.
Visit with the transfer program representative at a Blue Ridge CTC Transfer Expo each fall and spring semester. Participating transfer institution representatives are excited to speak to students regarding baccalaureate degree opportunities.
Responses from individuals representing transfer universities participating in the transfer expo include:
“It was nice having the ability to have one-on-one conversations with interested students.”
“It was good for me to hear from the students’ perspective where they want to go in their nursing careers and what we as a university can do to help them get there.”
“Most students knew exactly when they were transferring and what degree program they wanted.”
“We were able to look at students’ transcripts on the spot when they stopped in with them. It was helpful to have them in front of us as we explained the core curriculum and the prerequisites.”
“The students and I had some quality conversations. They were interested in learning about our programs with the accessibility of taking courses online. I even had a few professors swing by to gather information.”
“I thought this transfer expo was very successful. The students were proactive and engaged.”
This event is an excellent chance for you to discuss transfer opportunities available to you after graduation from Blue Ridge CTC.
Once you meet with a four-year university admissions counselor, review the Frequently Asked Questions page for helpful information on Transfer Policy and Transfer Evaluation System for a list of courses that articulate to specific baccalaureate institutions.
