What Will You Learn - Curriculum Overview

Baking and Pastry program classes are delivered within our state of the art culinary laboratory and focuses on hands-on culinary skills and techniques.

Our comprehensive curriculum teaches students all the baking essential fundamental concepts such as safety and sanitation in food service, fundamentals of cooking and bread making, cake designing and professional decorating, and much more. The program allows students to:

    • Gain a basic understanding of baking and cooking methods.
    • Demonstrate accurate measuring and portioning and how to safely handle and operate knives and kitchen equipment.
    • Identify techniques for controlling food costs.
    • Follow standardized recipes and production procedures by learning about baking ingredients.
