The SKILLS 101 Program provides skills enhancement in a condensed format for placement into English and mathematics. This workshop refreshes students’ mathematics and English skills. At the program’s end, students are given placement tests to determine the need for developmental or college-level courses.

In addition to live SKILLS 101 sessions, Blue Ridge CTC Math Faculty have also developed an online, self-paced Math Bootcamp. This program is comprehensive and allows students to work at a comfortable pace for comprehension. This resource has been made publicly available for all current, future, and high school students.
Skills 101 English Bootcamp is free and available to BRCTC students. Instruction is directly aligned with the skills tested on the ACCUPLACER exam and is delivered by qualified Blue Ridge CTC faculty. Online resources allow you to work at your own pace, and intensive in-person 4-day sessions are available prior to each Fall and Spring semester.
