Martinsburg, WV. Blue Ridge Community and Technical College Board of Governors met virtually via Zoom on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
The meeting was called to order at 12:02pm by Board Chair, Ms. Stephanie Harvey. Ms. Harvey continued with the approval of the April 2023 minutes.
Dr. Checkovich presented the President’s Report, highlighting recent media articles pertaining to the Institution.
Ms. Leslie See, Vice President of Enrollment and Allied Health Sciences presented the enrollment report.
Dr. Craig Miller, Chief Financial Officer and Ms. Kristi Scarlata, Comptroller, presented the Finance Report. The Board passed a motion to increase tuition and fees. The Board passed a motion to accept changes to select course fees. The Board passed a motion to approve the Budget.
Ms. Laura Busey, Dean of Instruction, presented Program Reviews for: Cyber Security Associate of Applied Science, Data Management Associate of Applied Science Engineering Technology Associate of Applied Science, Heavy Equipment Technician Associate of Applied Science, Plastics Engineering Technology Associate of Applied Science, and the Paralegal Studies Associate of Applied Science and Certificate of Applied Science. The Board passed a motion to approve the program reviews.
Executive Session was held. The Board passed a motion and voted to approve the President’s contract.
The meeting adjourned at 1:56 p.m.
