Blue Ridge Community and Technical College offers an Associate of Applied Science degree, an Associate of Arts degree, and an Associate of Science degree.
What’s the difference? An Associate of Applied Science degree emphasizes a specific career focus, such as business, baking and pastry, criminal justice, or cyber security. If you intend to seek employment immediately after graduation, this may be the best choice for you.
An Associate of Arts degree, by contrast, is a broad-based curriculum grounded in the liberal arts. This course of study is appropriate for a student planning to pursue a four-year degree. Similarly, the Associate of Science degree is designed for a student intending to pursue a four-year degree in the sciences.
No matter which program you choose, your connections and career options will flourish on the Ridge.
