Blue Ridge CTC Board of Governors Meeting September 12, 2018

Martinsburg, WV.  Blue Ridge Community and Technical College Board of Governors met at the Main Campus in Martinsburg on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. The meeting was called to order at 12:03 pm by Board Chair, Keith Unger.

Mr. Unger continued the meeting with approval of the August 2018 minutes.

Dr. Checkovich continued the meeting with the President’s Report highlighting recent media articles pertaining to the Institution.

Dr. Ann Shipway, Vice President of Workforce and Engineering Technology, presented the Workforce Development report. Dr. Shipway updated Board Members on the preparations underway for the Higher Learning Commission visit scheduled for 2020. Dr. Shipway continued her report with training updates occurring at the Technology Center.

Ms. Leslie See, Vice President of Enrollment, presented the enrollment report. Ms. See highlighted unofficial fall enrollment of over 6000 students. Ms. See concluded her report noting growth in multiple enrollment areas, including new students and dual enrolled high school students.

Executive Session was not held. The meeting adjourned at 12:53 pm.
