NCLEX-RN Pass Rates

The National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) is the national licensure examination that nursing graduates must pass in order to practice as a registered nurse. First-time pass rates are calculated based on the number of examinees from a program who pass the NCLEX-RN exam on their first attempt over the number of first-time test-takers within a given time frame. The table below delineates the pass rate for the Blue Ridge Community and Technical College ASN Program, as well as the national and West Virginia pass rates by year. The expected level of achievement (ELA) by ACEN standard is 80%, and the ELA set by faculty was revised in 2022 to 85%.
