Shepherd’s Whey Creamery is a small goat dairy and creamery crafting a variety of award winning goat milk cheeses. The majority of our product is sold directly to the consumer at area farmers market. We are seeking a individual to joint our market sales team. You would be the face of our company, educating and introducing customers to our artisan goat cheese. This is a Saturday job so availability on Saturdays from now until the end of October is required. Additional market days available for the motivated candidate. Duties include driving our vehicle to the farmers market with product and supplies, setting up market display, greeting customers in friendly manner. You will prepare and offer samples of product following food safety protocols, tally cash sales and perform sales transactions using square app. At the end of market you will load up, return to the farm, unload any cheeses not sold and and restock in our refrigerators. The farmers market is a fun and positive environment and our product is well received wherever we go, so no high pressure sales is required or desired. This is a physically active job that requires the staff member to offload coolers, erect market tent and tables, and stand for the majority of the market (4 hours).
