We have an excellent opportunity for a Production Supervisor who is responsible for supporting the division requirements and assuring plant policies and procedures are followed. This position works in concert with the shift technicians to meet the productivity goals and achieve the department’s objectives. Closely working with Quality Control, Technical, Engineering, and Maintenance to troubleshoot production issues.

Essential Duties:

  • Foster a strong safety-oriented culture; understand and follow all Safety Rules
  • Supervises approximately 10-15 shift technicians, ensuring work instructions are carried out safely and accurately during the 12-hour shift
  • Meeting shift goals regarding safety and performance evaluations
  • A thorough understanding of the manufacturing processes and procedures as well as the ability to troubleshoot problems when necessary
  • Ability to train both new and experienced technicians is a must
  • Understanding of and compliance with all safety and production procedures
  • Writing and administers employee performance evaluations
  • Administration of corrective action when necessary
  • Presenting shift performance information and issues at post-shift meeting
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
  • Perform all other duties assigned

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Must possess effective communication skills
• Must have proven ability to develop and promote a team environment
• Must be proficient in MS Office (Word & Excel)
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
• Able to push/pull a wheeled cart of up to 1,500 lbs.
• Able to work 12 hour rotating work shift
• Able to work required, mandatory overtime

Education & Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• 3+ years’ experience supervising 10+ employees preferred

Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Job Summary
As an electrician at ROCKWOOL you will be responsible for preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of the latest electrical and electronic equipment. Reporting to the respective shift Team Leader, you have a keen eye to identify potential problems in an electrical design and will work as part of a dynamic team of industrial electricians and electrical engineers collectively focused on continuous improvement and operational uptime.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities of an Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance?

Install and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using skills to troubleshoot with communication software.

Perform Electrical and PLC tasks including but not limited to the following: Calibrating, monitoring, repairing and maintaining transmitters, controllers, plant safety systems, power systems and sensors.

Maintain equipment by way of planned preventive maintenance programs, keeping maintenance records per company policies as well as advanced troubleshooting of electrical/electronic equipment during shift.

Provide electrical and instrumentation support to the functional area to ensure production can continue in a safe and effective manner.

Install, calibrate, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical instrumentation, equipment and associated electrical/electronic controls and related devices for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations

Install, visually examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, transformers, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.

What skills and qualifications do you need for the role of Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance?

2-year degree in Electronics, Electrical or equivalent certification required.

2-3 years’ practical experience in manufacturing or industrial environment and with automated equipment required.

Proficient knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)/Automation, specifically Siemens and Endress+Hauser instrumentation;

Grow and develop the team by sharing knowledge / experience.

Production Operator

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role will be responsible for running the automated production line for the ISO insulation and TPO roofing production facility. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment.

Our newly commissioned plant(2022) features side-by-side assembly lines for 2 unique commercial roofing products. Both these products are manufactured with state-of-the-art equipment in a clean, safe, bright facility.
