Blue Ridge CTC Offers Job Scholars Information Sessions to Public

Martinsburg, WV. Blue Ridge Community and Technical College is hosting two Job Scholars information sessions to the public. The first session is scheduled Thursday, March 11 from 3-7 pm at the Morgan County Center located in the Pines Opportunity Center at 109 War Memorial Drive, Berkeley Springs, WV. The second session is scheduled Thursday, March 18 from 3-7pm at the Technology Center located at 5550 Winchester Ave, Martinsburg, WV 25405.

The Job Scholars Program is a Department of Labor (DOL) grant funded program that provides education and training to youth ages 16 to 24. Students choose from 14 career pathways that provide skills to obtain well-paying careers within the community. Training is provided at no cost to the student and includes additional financial assistance for removing barriers to education. Students work directly with a personal and career counselor to navigate the education and training system. Upon training completion, students work one-on-one with a Career/Employment Counselor to secure job or internship opportunities.

Students accepted into the Job Scholars Program choose from pathways that include:

Advanced Manufacturing
Agricultural Technician
Applied Laboratory Technician
Computer Applications
Cybersecurity
Early Childcare Professional
Front Office Professional
Information Technology
Introduction to HVAC
Machine Operator
Recovery/Life Coach
Robotics Technician
Water/Wastewater Operator
Welding
