Martinsburg, WV. Blue Ridge Community and Technical College and Spring Mills High School have partnered to offer an exciting opportunity to high school students. During the week of January 8-12th, 10 female high school students are participating in a Drone Technologies Bootcamp, located at the Blue Ridge CTC Main Campus. The focus of this program was to promote STEM opportunities to young women who may be considering engineering careers.
Topics included in this week-long training include physics of flight, flight dynamics, FAA chart reading FAA airport communications, and more. Students work throughout the week on a final capstone project, which showcases technical and flight experience.
