IT Services: Email Accounts

Once registered, an email account is assigned to each student.  You will use your same username and password as found in BRIDGE for computer accounts with blueridgectc.edu added to the username. For example, if your username is jsmith01, your email username will be jsmith01@blueridgectc.edu.  

To access your email, open your browser and type in the address bar, mail.blueridgectc.edu.

Please check your email often as this is the method of communication used by BRCTC faculty and staff to communicate important information to you.

If you will not be checking this email account, please have it forward to an account you will check.

Employee Accounts:

Employee accounts are created once a fully completed BRCTC Computer Account Request Form is submitted to IT Services. Email accounts take longer to create than computer accounts as it is a two step process involving WVNet.

Email Problems:

The following will help you open email attachments if you are experiencing problems:

Open internet explorer and select the tools => internet options => security tab

Click on the trusted sites green circle so that it is highlighted. 
Then click on the sites button.  In the "Add the Web site to the zone box"
enter mailserv.wvnet.edu  Click on the add button and click OK.  Click OK again.
You should now be able to open attachments from you web mail client.
