If you’re a high school student interested in taking a course, or if you wish to jump-start your degree, Blue Ridge Community and Technical College has a variety of courses designed for secondary school students. High School-Non Degree Program
If you wish to take a college course and experience the excitement of a college classroom, Blue Ridge CTC welcomes your enthusiasm! The next steps are easy:
STEP 1:
If you have at least a 2.0 GPA, complete the Application for Admission (pdf).
STEP 2:
If you are taking an English, math or chemistry class, submit SAT or ACT scores or take required placement exam for admission. If you have not taken either exam, please schedule a Placement Test appointment on campus, as it is required for entry into college-level English and mathematics courses. STEP 3:
Obtain current high school transcript.
STEP 4:
Obtain letter of recommendation from your Guidance Counselor.
STEP 5:
Submit non-degree application, H.S. transcript, letter of recommendation and test scores, if necessary, together to Admissions.

Pay the required tuition fee upon registration.
Note: All of the above paperwork needs to be submitted each semester when registering as a high school student.
EDGE
EDGE is a state-sponsored program that allows students to take high school courses for community and technical college credit. Through EDGE, you can earn an Associate Degree at a great savings! Find out more about the EDGE program or contact Admissions at 304-260-4380.
Note: These credits are transferrable to any WVCTC and may not transfer to every WV four year institution.
