This hands-on certificate program provides graduates with the basic skills to gain entry-level employment in the fast-paced legal field. Over the course of study students will learn the basics of legal research and writing, document processing, computer applications and legal assisting.

Blue Ridge graduates secure employment in a number of settings, including magistrate courts, circuit/district courts, prosecutor’s offices, public defender offices, and private law offices. Graduates may further their education and earning potential by pursuing an associate degree in criminal justice.
