Current Students: Transfer Approval

When to use this form:

  • This is intended for students who want to take classes at another institution and transfer the classes earned there back into the graduation requirements for their associate degree

Who needs to sign?

  • Student
  • Advisor

How to complete:

  • The student obtains the form and completes the top part
  • The form gets returned to Enrollment Management
  • The Office of the Registrar will then check student GPA, credit hours, major, and class information and will approve or disapprove
  • The student will be notified by mail of the approval/disapproval
  • At the completion of the course, the student will need request an official transcript from the other institution in order to place the credits on the students academic transcript

Other Information:

  • It is the student’s responsibility to register for the course and pay the other institution
  • Courses in the students major, the last 12 hours of coursework before graduation, or repeating courses may not be taken elsewhere without permission from the Admissions and Credits Committee
  • Transfer Policies are printed on the reverse of the form, the student is encouraged to read these carefully
