Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3)

The IC3 is a certification program that is designed to teach individuals the digital literacy skills associated with basic computer and Internet use.  The IC3 certificate is awarded to those individuals that take and are able to pass three separate exams, titled Computing Fundamentals, Key Applications, and Living Online.

  • Word Processing Functions
  • Spreadsheet Functions
  • Presentation Software Functions

 Living Online

  • Networks and the Internet
  • E-Mail
  • Using the Internet

 

Courses mapped to IC3 certification:

  • IT 106 Understanding Computers
  • OFTC 102 Information Literacy

If you already possess your IC3 certification, come to the Division of Business & Technology to speak to someone about waiving OFTC 102 as a program requirement.
