Blue Ridge CTC Students Bring Back the Win

Blue Ridge CTC Students bring back the win from Future Business Leaders of American, Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference

Martinsburg, WV. Five students from Blue Ridge CTC attended the West Virginia State Future Business Leaders of American, Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) State Leadership Conference in Charleston, West Virginia. (picture attached*) All five students placed in either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in their categories. The students taking awards are as follows:

  • Scott Wright-2nd place, Desktop Publishing
  • Hannum O’Reily-3rd place, Justice Administration
  • Jesse Torres-2nd place, Marketing Analysis and Decision Making
  • Eileen Kusnirak-3rd place, Marketing Concepts
  • Hannum O’Reily-2nd place, Organizational Behavior and Leadership
  • Stephanie Douglas-Walton-1st place, Retail Management
  • Eileen Kusnirak, 2nd place, Small Business Management Plan

The students are eligible to compete June 23-26th at the National Student Leadership Conference in their same categories. The conference will take place in Baltimore, MD during the above time period. Students not only compete, but are eligible for monetary and scholarship awards. Other events taking place include workshops, school and career fairs designed for students.

Blue Ridge CTC FBLA-PBL chapter was started in 2012.  This is the second year Blue Ridge students have competed, and the second time students have placed in the competition.  FBLA-PBL is a national organization and the largest career centered student organization in the world.  FBLA-PBL sees over 230,000 students every year in its ranks.
