Blue Ridge Community and Technical College, in partnership with the Morgan County Office of Emergency Management, recently offered a 21 hour training program in Drone Operations and FAA Licensing for EMS personnel.
Students attended the training at the Blue Ridge CTC Morgan County Center located in the Pines Opportunity Center in Berkeley Springs, WV. The course provided training to students who are interested in becoming a remote commercial pilot for small unmanned aircrafts (UAVs), more commonly referred to as “drones”.
A total of 12 participants completed the training and received a voucher to take the remote commercial pilot examination for UAVs. The course was taught by V1 Aeronautics of Hagerstown, MD. V1 Aeronautics also administered the FAA examinations.
