Martinsburg, WV. Blue Ridge Community and Technical College has a new round of FREE seminars this Spring 2014 term.
Keep up with social media by attending “Facebook for the 50 Something,” held on March 11, 2014 from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Main Campus, located at 13650 Apple Harvest Drive, Martinsburg, WV. This seminar will show students what Facebook is all about. Learn how to open an account and receive answers to questions regarding uses, security risks and posting. All ages are welcome, but the emphasis will be for those over 50 years of age.
“iPad Tips and Tricks,” held March 12, 2014 from 6 pm – 7 pm in Charles Town, will be one of the first Career Advancement free seminars held at the Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Center, located at 235 Sam Michael’s Lane, Shenandoah Junction, WV. This course helps users discover what the iPad can do! Learn about free and inexpensive applications, demonstrations, and idea sharing.
One additional seminar in social media, “Facebook Sharing Photos and Invites,” held on the Main Campus in Martinsburg, March 18, 2014 from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm, introduces students to Facebook features. This seminar is for individuals using Facebook, but who want to know more about sharing photos and sending invites. Learn to limit the individuals who can see your photos and how to set up share groups.
The “Dog Behavior Workshop” held March 20, 2014 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, will be at the Morgan County Center located at 109 War Memorial Drive, Berkeley Springs, WV. This is an interesting and informative seminar on Dog behavior. Learn predictable ways your dog will behave in given situations, and learn how to handle your dog based on behavior modification techniques.
