Martinsburg, WV. Blue Ridge Community and Technical College Board of Governors met at the Main Campus in Martinsburg on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. The meeting was called to order at 12 pm by Board Chair, Keith Unger.
Mr. Unger began the meeting with approval of the September 2017 minutes.
Dr. Checkovich continued the meeting by welcoming Brandon Crouch, Economic Analyst from Emsi. The College recently partnered with Emsi, an independent contracting agency, who performed an economic impact study to determine the value of Blue Ridge CTC within the local economy.
Mr. Crouch presented a review of the study, which included the College’s economic impact analysis and investment analysis. Highlights of the presentation included the College’s direct impact upon students, taxpayers and society. (see fact sheet).
Executive Session was not held. The meeting adjourned at 1:07 p.m.
