Martinsburg, WV. Blue Ridge Community and Technical College Board of Governors met at the Main Campus in Martinsburg on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. The meeting was called to order at 11:55 pm by Board Chair, Keith Unger.
Mr. Unger continued the meeting with approval of the March 2018 minutes.
Dr. Checkovich presented the President’s Report highlighting recent media articles pertaining to the Institution.
Dr. Ann Shipway, Vice President of Workforce and Engineering Technology, presented the Workforce Development report. Dr. Shipway updated Board Members on the growth at the Morgan County Center. Dr. Shipway concluded her report with a grant application update.
Ms. Leslie See, Vice President of Enrollment, presented the enrollment report. Ms. See highlighted enrollment growth in high school programming for the 2018-2019 academic year. Currently, the Berkeley County JumpStart cohort consists of 170 students, more than twice last year’s enrollment. Ms. See concluded her report by noting enrollment is underway for the two JumpStart programs launching in Morgan County this fall.
Dr. George Perry, Vice President of Instruction presented eight program reviews for the Board to review. The Board passed a motion to continue all eight programs.
Executive Session was held. No public vote was made. The meeting adjourned at 12:57 pm.
