Mrs. Rini joined the faculty at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in 2005 after having managed staff development. She has previous experience teaching ASN students at Shenandoah University, as well as extensive clinical practice in Emergency Care and Obstetrics.

Mrs. Rini is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Virginia Nurses Association, the Association of Women's Health, Obstetrical and Neonatal Nurses, the National League for Nursing, the American Association for the History of Nursing, the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simualtion and Learning, and Sigma Theta Tau-Epsilon Zeta Chapter.

Mrs. Rini is a doctoral candidate at West Virginia University.

Mrs. Harty has worked in multiple Adult Health, Long Term Care, and Home Health agencies. She has also taught nursing at Hagerstown Community College.

She is active in her community and is a Red Cross volunteer.

Ms. Kelly's specialty is Community and Public Health Nursing. She has 27 years of varied nursing experiences, including teaching as a clinical instructor at Lord Fairfax Community College.

Ms. Kelly is a member of the Virginia Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.

 

Kim Kiefer

Ms. Kiefer has extensive experience in Critical Care Nursing at mutliple agencies. She served in the Army and completed the Combat Medical Course. Ms. Kiefer is certifed as CCRN.

Ms. Kiefer has had over five years teaching experience in ADN programs before joining Blue Ridge. She is a member of AACN and Sigma Theta Tau-Omicron Delta Chapter

Mrs. Layos has an extensive clinical background. She also has a long history of teaching in staff development and undergraduate nursing programs at Blue Ridge, Shepherd University, Hagerstown Community College, Frederick Community College, and Washington County Hospital Diploma program.

Mrs. Layos is a member of the Maryland and American Nurses Association; and Sigma Theta Tau.

Karen Pugsley

Mrs. Pugsley was an Army Nurse from 1974-98, retiring from the military with the rank of Lt. Colonel. She was a Senior Consultant at McMannis Associates in Washington D.C. before joining the nursing faculty at Shepherd University and subsequently, the Blue Ridge Community and Technical College.

Mrs. Pugsley is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Virginia Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing, the Association of Community Health Educators and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.

She has numerous publications and presentations to her credit and has received the Legion of Merit and The Order of Military Medical Merit from the US Army.

Margaret Riden

Mrs. Riden has worked in Women's and Infant's Nursing since the beginning of her nursing career as a Labor and Delivery Staff Nurse, OB trainer for the University of Maryland Paramedic program, Clinical Educator for Women's and Children's Services, and as a Staff Nurse in NICU.

She has also been involved in the community agency for United Cerebral Palsy and the March of Dimes. She is a member of The Academy of Neonatal Nursing (ANN) and The Association of Women's Health, Obstetrics, & Neonatal Nursing.

Mrs. Smtih brings diverse clinical knowledge to Blue Ridge including Pediatrics, Maternal Infant, Neurological and Trauma, PACU and Nursing Case Management experiences. Mrs. Smith is a member of Sigma Theta Tau

In addition to her nursing career she serves her local community as a volunteer EMS provider.
