Transfer Students

Students who have successfully completed nursing courses at another nursing program within the last 3 years may be evaluated on an individual basis to determine entry into the Associate of Science in Nursing program at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College.

Students requesting transfer must meet all Nursing Program admission criteria.

A review of the students credentials will be completed by the faculty.

  • Students must provide a copy of the course syllabus for the requested classes as well as the grade on their final examination for the course.
  • If credit is requested for a clinical course, the completed clinical evaluation must be provided in addition to the syllabus.

The student will be required to also pass the ATI assessment examination with a Proficiency Level I or better for each requested course, achieve an 80% or better on a medication dosing examination, and demonstrate satisfactory performance on required skills before credit will be awarded.

  • The student will pay $25 for each ATI test that is required
  • Study materials or test blueprint will be provided
