Employee Leave

Employee leave is more than annual and sick.  Leave benefits include, but are not limited to: Funeral Leave, Compensatory Time Off (CTO), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Military Leave, Emergency Leave and Catastrophic Leave. Please review the applicable handbook for an overview of each leave benefit.


Annual Leave Accruals

Non-Classified & Faculty

Non-Classified & Faculty employees in eligible positions established to work twelve (12) months, at 1.00 FTE are eligible to accrue annual leave as follows:

Non-classified employees in eligible positions established to work less than twelve (12) months, and/or less than 1.00 FTE shall accrue leave on a pro-rated basis.

Faculty employees in positions established to work less than twelve (12) months are not eligible to accrue annual leave.

Sick Leave Accruals

Non-classified and faculty employees in eligible positions established to work twelve (12) months, at 1.00 FTE are eligible to accrue sick leave as follows:

Employees in eligible positions established to work less than twelve (12) months, and/or less than 1.00 FTE shall accrue sick leave on a pro-rated basis.

Faculty employees in positions established to work less than twelve (12) months are not eligible to accrue sick leave.

Important Note: Sick Leave does not have a cap on the amount of hours eligible employees are able to accrue and keep.
