Financial Aid - FAFSAHow do I start the financial aid process? The first step is completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. You will need 2009 taxes and W2(s). You may use your PIN to electronically sign or, sign and mail a paper signature page. If you have never requested a Pin Number from FAFSA, you can do that as part of the application process or go to www.pin.ed.gov. After submitting your FAFSA with either an electronic or physical signature, you will receive either an electronic or paper Student Aid Report (SAR). Review the information and if all is correct, you don’t need to do anything further. If information needs to be changed, make the correction(s) and resubmit to FAFSA. Once FAFSA has processed your information, it will be sent electronically to the Financial Aid Office at Blue Ridge.
